Meadow of Passion, Part 1

Meadow of Passion Part 1

           The night that I had the Cullens vote on bringing me into their family, Edward practically lost it. Once Carlisle agreed that he would change me after graduation, Edward immediately began trying to come up with some way to hold it off as long as he could. After our discussion back at my house, he found it. It was him, Edward that I wanted to change me. He asked me what would I trade for that and he began giving timelines, years as to how long as I would have to wait. It wasn’t working out good in his favor until he decided to give up years and go with events. His condition: I’d have to marry him first.
           I almost jumped off of my bed in shock. I would have said yes, married him right then and there if it meant that I could spend the rest of my life with him, but what about Charlie and Renèe and Phil? What about Jacob? He’d already showed his disgust for them and, now that I thought about it, would he end up hating me too? Would he leave me, no longer the friend that I once had because I was just another blood sucking fiend? I would have said yes…but I couldn’t. For the first time, I doubted whether I wanted to be changed or not. I wanted to stay with Edward forever but if it meant giving up all of this…I just wasn’t ready yet.
           He found it, his bargaining chip to get me to wait, and it was marriage. He left me, kissing me gently, his sweet smell making my mind go hazy again. Soon after that, my thoughts about Jacob were confirmed. I hadn’t even been changed yet and he’d already made it clear that he couldn’t protect me, be my friend, as long as I was had anything to do with Edward and the Cullens. I knew that being with Edward meant that I was going to have to become a Vampire, whether he liked it or not. Not only that, I had to change eventually since the Volturi were planning to check up and make sure that Alice had told the truth.
           I had to find something to work with, something that I could place on the table to make this that much more worthwhile. It was hard though. What could be better than living forever with the marble god that I loved? I couldn’t think of anything. I closed my eyes and lied down, trying to think if there was anything that I could use.
           That night I dreamt about him, my Edward. We were in the sacred meadow that he’d taken me to many moons ago. I was in his arms, safe and warm despite the cool touch of his body. He kissed me softly and a shiver went down my spine. The sun was heading downwards to allow moon to take over but just enough of its light shined over the trees so that Edward’s body shimmered. He held me close in his arms as he began to nibble gently on my neck.
           “Make love to me Edward.”
           “As you wish my love.”
           He leaned me back; down against the grass as his lips found mine once more. His fingers began to crawl down my body and just as they slid between my legs…I woke up. The sun was hitting me directly in my face but that’s not what had me hot. I was panting, sweating, and my covers were completely disorganized. I tried to pull backwards so as to sit up and I fell off the bed and down onto my head. Apparently I’d done a lot of moving throughout the night.  I groaned as I sat myself up and realized one more thing: I was wet. Very wet. I wasn’t that surprised. I did after all just dream about me and my lover having…
           “That’s it. I know what to do now. I know what I’m going to add to our arrangement.”
